TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch
Tab Trade - What It Is
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection matters. It suggests the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is better than a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, commodities, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For something this new, the breadth is broad.
Platforms
They offer: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both platforms from a single account. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Having both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is what most people know. Full charting, automated trading, huge user base. If you know MetaTrader before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Many people find it more natural once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is said to be in the works. That would make the platform set when it arrives.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Suits beginners.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your all-in cost can be under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to most retail traders. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.
How Fast Are the Fills
This is the area where this broker separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is the infrastructure is there. That is something about priorities.
Combine those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms at this price point offer execution like this.
Regulation
This is the part that matters. The broker is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. But be part of how you think about it.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off works is your call.
The Bonus
Tab Trade runs a deposit bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Typical deposit match. You fund your account, they top up your balance. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Read the conditions before funding.
